Writing Links

  • Writing Excuses, an excellent podcast for aspiring writers, especially those interested in Genre Fiction.

  • David Farland's "Daily Kick", a daily newsletter about writing.
  • WikiName, a great starting place for researching various names from around the world.
  • Wikipedia, which should not need explaining, is an excellent springboard for further research. This should be on everyone's search bar.
  • Dictionary.com, which should not need explaining. This should also be on every writer's search bar.

Web Links

  • Firefox browser, simply because it's a personal preference.
  • Wordpress.com, a free web blog hosting site, where I host my own anonymous blog.

People I read/watch/etc...

  • Schlock Mercenary, the webcomic I keep on my address bar, not my bookmarks.
  • Brandon Sanderson, a bestselling fantasy author. You can read his book "Warbreaker" for free at his site, and he posts extra annotations for his books online for fans.
  • Jim Butcher, another fantasy author. I'm up-to-date on both his fantasy series, and I'd recommend either of them to anyone who likes fantasy.
  • Dan Wells, an author of fine horror stories. Or psychological thrillers. I'll get back to you when I've figured out the difference.
  • Tamora Pierce, who deserves part of the credit that I kept reading as a teenager. Definitely the best author whose name is a typo. ;)
  • Joe Mallozzi, an executive producer of Stargate Universe, and writer of both previous Stargate shows.
